Four weeks ago in the same race, his performance was poor; he jumped slowly, ran from the rear with a steady pace, and recovered some lost ground in the final stages. His trial run did not show much impetus. In this race, he must carry an extra two pounds; the prospects are unfavorable with a poor draw. If he runs from the rear, his finishing kick may not match his rivals', and the jockey/trainer combination is not particularly harmonious. However, given the field size, he cannot be ignored.
