Four weeks ago over 1200m on dirt, his performance was decent; he jumped out slowly, settled towards the rear, maintained an average pace throughout, and gradually recovered ground in the final stages, finishing as a distant contender. After a trial run, there was slight improvement. Returning to Sha Tin over 1400m this time, he needs to carry eight extra pounds, putting him at a tactical disadvantage. His finishing kick hasn't shown outstanding promise, and the jockey-trainer combination hasn't been particularly impressive. Winning in this race is not surprising given his track record and acceptable time performance, though there are areas where he underperforms.
