12/5 (Dirt trial 1200m: running positions of 7-7-5 in each section) showed a slightly slow early pace but had an appealing run. Two months ago, he performed poorly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, settling well and tracking the leaders but fading in the final stages. He has run a trial barrier jump, and the assessment is positive after this session. After another Sha Tin turf 1200m trial, he has lost all four races so far; his finishing kick is slightly lacking. However, the ability to settle well and track near the leaders in an ideal draw means he must be watched.
