THE CONCENTRATION

Three weeks ago, the horse showed decent form over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, able to extend but his closing speed weakened in the final stages. In a subsequent 1200m trial on Sha Tin turf, he is carrying three pounds less in this race. He has proven himself over this distance and his time figures remain acceptable. The jockey/horse combination is passable; even if the race conditions are not ideal, his finishing kick is slightly lacking, and the jockey/trainer relationship isn't particularly seamless, he should still be considered.
