Four weeks ago, this horse ran a very disappointing mile on the dirt; it was slow to break from the stalls, and he tracked the pace throughout at a steady speed with an unremarkable run. In his previous Sha Tin turf 1600m run, the sectional times were weak, and the position was not favorable. Tracking near the rear with poor barrier draws, his finishing kick may not have matched that of his rivals. The jockey and trainer's cooperation was not outstanding, but it is unsurprising given his lack of performance this time around, especially since he carries three pounds less in this race.
