From the March 29th dirt trial at Conghua (1200m on turf: 8-6-1), the horse started slowly, moved forward down the straight to take a better position, and tracked the leaders. Three weeks ago, in a Sha Tin 1400m race on turf, his performance was decent; he tracked the pace but showed a weakening finish. A recent trial has shown slight improvement. In this race, with an extra three pounds to carry, the prospects are slightly unfavorable; he will need to track the pace as his finishing kick is not on par with the competition. The jockey and trainer do not seem particularly in sync, though favorable drawing and acceptable timing were noted, so no clear opportunity was seen.
