Seven weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m trial; it was slow to exit the gate and conserved energy, maintaining a steady pace throughout with an unremarkable run. In its last straight race return, the time was acceptable but it settled towards the rear, possessing the strongest finishing kick in its field. Even with slightly unfavorable circumstances and not ideal jockey-trainer coordination, it can still be considered for placing.
