July 6th Trial: Dirt trial over 1200m (from Fosha, turf trial): 2-2-3. After a long break, the horse made its first trial effort. Previously, in July over 1600m on Sha Tin turf, the performance was underwhelming; it was slow to get going from the gate, maintained a trailing position, showed acceleration in the middle stages, and chased in the final two sections on the straight. The overall pace was even, with a mediocre run. Following another trial, there has been slight improvement. In the subsequent 1400m Sha Tin turf trial, the circumstances were slightly unfavorable due to poor draw, and the finishing kick was not prominent. The jockey/trainer combination was not ideal; while the horse showed merit in this run and had acceptable timings, it warrants attention.
