Five weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf; he was slow to jump out and ran towards the rear, with his finishing drive weakening in the final stages. Moving to Happy Valley over 1200m, it was his first attempt at this distance, and the track doesn't suit him; his time figures are weak, and there is no tactical advantage seen. If he adopts a trailing running style, his late acceleration may not match the opposition. The jockey and trainer partnership has not been outstanding. While drawing an advantageous barrier and carrying five pounds less this time, he is still not the preferred choice for this race.
