Three weeks ago, this horse ran well over 1600m on Sha Tin turf. Despite a slow start, it tracked the pace and gradually regained ground in the closing stages. Fortunately, he wasn't too far behind, finishing only two and a half lengths down. In its last run over 2000m on Sha Tin turf, this was a debut trip where the circumstances weren't ideal and its placement wasn't impressive. The connection between jockey and trainer didn't seem particularly harmonious. However, it did track the pace, possessing arguably the strongest finishing kick in its group and a distance that suits it well; this must be noted.
