Three weeks ago in a similar race, his performance was very poor; he tracked the leaders from a good position but weakened in the finishing stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. A recent trial showed that his performance met expectations. While his time was not outstanding and the circumstances were unfavorable, he lacked a pronounced closing burst; there wasn't a strong connection between jockey and trainer. His only advantages were an ideal draw and carrying 5 pounds less this time, though he didn't see much opportunity.
