GREAT BAUHINIA jumped awkwardly, resulting in its rider, O Doleuze, becoming unbalanced in the saddle. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, TELECOM GOGO shifted in and bumped the running rail. EASTERN EMPIRE, which was following, also shifted in at this time, brushed the running rail and became badly unbalanced. Also passing the winning post on the first occasion, GREAT BAUHINIA was steadied away from the heels of SPINNAKER (D Whyte) which shifted in when not properly clear. D Whyte was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Near the 1200 Metres, GREAT BAUHINIA was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 200 Metres, FANTASTIC DANCER was steadied away from the heels of SUPER CAGA which at this time commenced to give ground. FUN RIDER, PRIME TARGET and FLUKE were sent for sampling.
