ROYAL KNIGHT proved difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, ROYAL KNIGHT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. LEO’S PRIDE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, LUNAR REFLECTIONS and OCEAN PRINCE were steadied when crowded for room between REGENCY WINNER and ROYAL KNIGHT which shifted out. Rounding the Home Turn and in the Straight, AMITYSHIP hung out and over the concluding stages proved difficult to ride out. Near the 150 Metres, RECORD HIGH was taken wider by AMITYSHIP which shifted out. OCEAN PRINCE, which was following RECORD HIGH, was shifted in to continue improving. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of Y T Cheng (OCEAN PRINCE) over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race where circumstances permit. A veterinary inspection of LUNAR REFLECTIONS after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, LUNAR REFLECTIONS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. JIMSON THE BEST and ROYAL KNIGHT were sent for sampling. <17/3/2011 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that RECORD HIGH was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, RECORD HIGH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
