On arrival at the barriers, it was noted that CHINA GOOD had sustained a superficial abrasion to the left thigh. The Veterinary Officer reported that, in his opinion, the horse was not lame and was suitable to race. HAPPY SCORE and BEST FIT were slow to begin. BREEZE OF LUCK was slow to begin and shortly after the start shifted in and bumped SPICY SHRIMP. BREEZE OF LUCK then shifted out and made contact with the hindquarters of EPATANT, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. G Mossé (THE PRINCE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 800 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of MEGA CASTLE, causing that horse to be checked and in turn taken out onto NOBLE VISION which was hampered. G Mossé was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 24 February 2011 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Dubai Racing Club racemeeting on Friday, 18 February 2011. M Chadwick (BEST FIT) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 600 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of CHEETAH BOY which was taken across the rightful running of THE PRINCE. As a result, THE PRINCE was checked when taken across the heels of FLY HIGH. NOBLE VISION, which was following THE PRINCE, was checked in consequence. M Chadwick was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Sunday, 13 February 2011 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Saturday, 5 February 2011. In addition, M Chadwick was fined $40,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating 1 further raceday. Near the 500 Metres, CHEETAH BOY was switched to the inside of the heels of BEST FIT. For the majority of the race and particularly over the final 200 Metres, CHEETAH BOY got its head on the side, hung out and proved very difficult to ride. T Angland reported that FORTUNE PARTNER hung in badly throughout the race. The racing manners and the performance of FORTUNE PARTNER, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE PARTNER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. THE PRINCE, BEST FIT and CHINA GOOD were sent for sampling.
