Before being allowed to race again, SCARLET CAMELLIA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SILVER FLOWER was slow to begin. From the outside barrier, ATHENIUM was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After the 1400 Metes, TREASURE GOLD commenced to travel keenly and for some distance had to be steadied away from the heels of AOMEN. After the 1200 Metres, JIMSON THE BEST was left racing wide and without cover. Approaching the 1100 Metres, MASTER KEY commenced to over-race and got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SYDNEY POWER. Passing the 400 Metres, SUNSHINE DAY was momentarily crowded for room inside SILVER FLOWER and then after the 300 Metres was shifted out away from the heels of IRON EAGLE. A veterinary inspection of MASTER KEY after the race did not show any significant findings. FINEZZA and AOMEN were sent for sampling.
