From wide barriers, GENUINE LEADER, SECRET AGENT and HYPERSONIC were all taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, EVERYONE’S CHOICE raced in restricted room between GENUINE LEADER and GREEN ZONE which was taken out by COSTA DEL SOL. Near the 900 Metres, SECRET AGENT was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of GENUINE LEADER when being shifted across behind that horse to a position closer to the rail. EASY SUCCESS made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly. Throughout the race, BOULD MOVER and HYPERSONIC travelled wide and without cover. The performance of EVERYONE’S CHOICE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE’S CHOICE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that HYPERSONIC had lost its right front plate. A veterinary inspection of BOULD MOVER, EASY SUCCESS and EVERYONE’S CHOICE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LORD SINCLAIR and GREEN ZONE were sent for sampling.
