Steward Report Predict Pace Map
On arrival at the barriers, THE CREATETH, which kicked a rail on the way to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. POSITIVELY HIGH began only fairly. ENJOYABLE SUCCESS began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between HEALTHY JOYFUL which shifted out and PHOTON WILLIE which was taken in by SLEEP EDUCATION. VICTORIA STAR shifted out at the start and bumped THE CREATETH. ENCOURAGING shifted in at the start and bumped SUPER MISSILE. After this, from a wide barrier, ENCOURAGING was steadied and shifted across behind runners. When being steadied to obtain cover in the early stages, VICTORIA STAR travelled keenly and proved very difficult to settle. Making the first turn, VICTORIA STAR got its head on the side and lay out. VICTORIA STAR continued to lay out rounding the turns. Approaching the 750 Metres, HEALTHY JOYFUL (Z Purton) attempted to improve to the outside of VICTORIA STAR which continued to lay out and ENCOURAGING. This resulted in HEALTHY JOYFUL and ENCOURAGING making contact on a number of occasions and causing both horses to become unbalanced. After considering the evidence, the Stewards formed the view that there was not sufficient room for HEALTHY JOYFUL to improve to the outside of VICTORIA STAR. Z Purton was advised that whilst competitive riding is encouraged, nonetheless he must ensure that when improving into runs he does not place undue pressure on other horses or riders. In this incident, SLEEP EDUCATION, which was following HEALTHY JOYFUL, shifted out abruptly away from the heels of that horse, resulting in PHOTON WILLIE being hampered and taken wider. Near the 650 Metres, ROYAL MOJITO and THE CREATETH raced tight as ROYAL MOJITO improved to the outside of HARD BALL GET. Approaching the 600 Metres, POSITIVELY HIGH became unbalanced when checked away from the heels of GIANT TURTLE which also became unbalanced after being struck on the heels by POSITIVELY HIGH. ENJOYABLE SUCCESS, which was following POSITIVELY HIGH, was inconvenienced in consequence. A veterinary inspection of GIANT TURTLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Approaching the 300 Metres, THE CREATETH got its head on the side and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SUPER MISSILE. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SUPER MISSILE had sustained a small cut to the right hind fetlock. A veterinary inspection of SLEEP EDUCATION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. SUPER MISSILE and RAGING BLITZKRIEG were sent for sampling.
