SWEETLY BABY bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground. BREEZE OF SPRING and WINSTON’S LAD bumped at the start. CITY LEGEND was slow to begin, shifted in on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of LUCKY WORLD. After this, CITY LEGEND and LUCKY WORLD were shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. From the outside barrier, CHARGE ON was also steadied to obtain cover in the early stages. In the early part of the Straight, CITY LEGEND lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of BREEZE OF SPRING to obtain clear running. In the Straight, TELECOM ROCKET got its head on the side and lay out and passing the 200 Metres shifted out abruptly, requiring its rider to stop riding and straighten TELECOM ROCKET. After this, TELECOM ROCKET continued to lay out under pressure. Passing the 150 Metres, CHARGE ON shifted in and brushed CITY LEGEND. After the 100 Metres, SUPER WINNER shifted out under pressure. Passing the 50 Metres, CITY LEGEND raced tight outside BREEZE OF SPRING which shifted out away from WINSTON’S LAD which in turn was racing tight outside SPRINT FORWARD. For the majority of the race, WINSTON’S LAD and LUCKY WORLD travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY WORLD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of YICHUN BLITZ immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, YICHUN BLITZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CHAIRMAN LO and SUPER WINNER were sent for sampling.
