STRATHPEFFER began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped TO INFINITY which in turn shifted out and brushed HURRY HURRY RICH. SUPER WISE DRAGON shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of INNO TECH WINNER. BRAVE DREAMS shifted out on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of FINGERS CROSSED which shifted in. SUPER MAGIC shifted in at the start and brushed DARING PURSUIT. GOLD TACK stumbled on jumping, shifted in and bumped BROTHER PEARL. For some distance in the early stages, MASTER OF LUCK got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover. When being crossed by FINGERS CROSSED (A Hamelin) near the 1100 Metres, HURRY HURRY RICH, which was being hard ridden to improve its position, was directed out across the heels of FINGERS CROSSED, resulting in HURRY HURRY RICH becoming badly unbalanced and shifting out abruptly. When HURRY HURRY RICH shifted out abruptly, BRAVE DREAMS was momentarily inconvenienced in consequence. A Hamelin was told that whilst the actions of HURRY HURRY RICH had played a significant role in this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Approaching the 1000 Metres, BRAVE DREAMS raced tight inside the heels of DARING PURSUIT. Passing the 900 Metres, INNO TECH WINNER was awkwardly placed outside the heels of TO INFINITY when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse. After the 700 Metres, REGENCY BO BO, which was being ridden along, was shifted to the outside of DARING PURSUIT which at this time was being steadied to obtain cover behind BRAVE DREAMS. MASTER OF LUCK, which was following REGENCY BO BO and continuing to prove difficult to settle, again got its head up for some distance approaching and passing the 600 Metres when awkwardly placed behind REGENCY BO BO. Near the 550 Metres, BROTHER PEARL was momentarily eased away from the heels of SUPER MAGIC which lay in. In the early part of the Straight, SUPER MAGIC got its head on the side and lay in under pressure and then was reluctant to shift out from behind TO INFINITY after the 200 Metres. Over about the final 100 Metres, DARING PURSUIT lay in under pressure. A veterinary inspection of HURRY HURRY RICH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DARING PURSUIT and BRAVE DREAMS were sent for sampling.
