FUN N GLORY (G003): After the race, M Chadwick stated that his mount raced too keenly during the event and as a result could not quicken when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. He added that, in his opinion, FUN N GLORY may be better suited by being dropped back in distance in a race run at a more genuine pace. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. UP AND UP (H163): Shifted in abruptly on jumping and was bumped. LUCKY GOLD (G112): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. CHILLI BABA (G339): Raced keenly when it was left racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DREAM PURSUER (G241): Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race. SHINE BRIGHT (H385): Jumped awkwardly and shifted out on jumping. DIVINE ERA (D507): No report. GOLDEN RISE (H242): Near the 450 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FUN N GLORY when being shifted to that runner’s outside. Sent for sampling post-race. RIVER VIEWS (G212): When questioned regarding his riding on the Home Turn and the reason LUCKY PLANET was able to obtain a run to his inside, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that from the 500 Metres the leader ISLAND BRIGHT appeared to quicken which resulted in RIVER VIEWS becoming slightly under pressure and shifting out. He said as a result LUCKY PLANET then shifted out and made slight contact with his mount which allowed it to secure clear running to his inside. The Stewards advised Apprentice Wong that he had made an error of judgement in allowing his mount to shift out on the Home Turn and he would be expected to ride his mounts in a more competitive manner in the future to prevent such manoeuvres taking place. After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no explanation for his mount’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CAN'T GO WONG (H087): Jumped awkwardly and then was badly crowded by UP AND UP which shifted in abruptly. Leaving the 300 Metres became held up for clear running when unable to improve between DIVINE ERA and FUN N GLORY and as a result made contact with FUN N GLORY near the 250 Metres. Then did not obtain clear running until near the 150 Metres. ISLAND BRIGHT (H363): No report. LUCKY PLANET (H235): Jumped awkwardly and shifted in on jumping. Bumped on the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race.
