CHINA WIN was checked at the start when crowded for room between JUN DAO and ROYAL KNIGHT which, after beginning awkwardly, shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Due to this incident, CHINA WIN lost a considerable amount of ground. Shortly after the start, ROYAL KNIGHT was steadied away from the heels of MASTER GUNNER which shifted in. Approaching the 1000 Metres, MASTER GUNNER and BRAVE KID bumped as MASTER GUNNER raced tight between that horse and JUN DAO. Rounding the Home Turn, KING AL AKBAR blundered badly after striking the heels of INVINCIBLE HEART which, when racing behind CASH MONEY, shifted in slightly. When KING AL AKBAR blundered, it shifted out abruptly, resulting in BRAVE KID being bumped and taken wider. In this incident, MASTER GUNNER and ROYAL KNIGHT were also hampered. Passing the 300 Metres, CHINA WIN raced tight between AMNESTY and DREAM HORSE which, when weakening, got its head on the side and shifted out. After this, CHINA WIN raced in restricted room between AMNESTY and ALL TIME HIGH. CASH MONEY travelled three wide and without cover outside the leaders throughout the race and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of CASH MONEY and CHINA WIN after the race did not show any significant findings. JUN DAO, BRAVE KID and FLYING IN were sent for sampling.
