KING GALILEO was slow to begin. On jumping, GOLD RUSH shifted out abruptly, despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in ELITE FORTUNE, SEASON LINKZ and PACHINKO all being checked when crowded. Shortly after the start, RAINBOW SEEKER, which began awkwardly and was slow to begin, was hampered when bumped by HOW WONDERFUL which was crowded for room between RAINBOW SEEKER and BRAVE HEART which shifted out slightly. Passing the 700 Metres, BRAVE HEART attempted to shift away from the heels of CLASSA SUPREME and obtain running between that horse and GLORY. A short distance later, BRAVE HEART became unbalanced when bumped by GLORY which maintained its position one horse off the fence. Shortly after entering the Straight, ELITE FORTUNE was directed to the outside of GOLD RUSH to obtain running. After being disappointed for running between GOLD RUSH and KIMBER FORTUNE, ELITE FORTUNE was shifted back inside of runners to obtain clear running. Passing the 400 Metres, SEASON LINKZ and GOLD RUSH bumped as SEASON LINKZ was shifted out to improve its position. In the early part of the Straight, RAINBOW SEEKER had difficulty obtaining clear running and near the 350 Metres was steadied away from the heels of KIMBER FORTUNE which itself shifted out away from the heels of GOLD RUSH. Over the concluding stages, BRAVE HEART got its head on the side and shifted out. The performance of GLORY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Throughout the race, BELONG TO CASA travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of PACHINKO after the race revealed that the horse had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of SEASON LINKZ after the race did not show any significant findings. BRAVE HEART and GOLD RUSH were sent for sampling.
