GO FAY FAY shifted out shortly after the start, resulting in SUPER SPIRIT being hampered and taken out onto BUCCANEER which was in turn taken out onto CENTURY SUPER STAR. After this, CENTURY SUPER STAR was taken across behind runners. For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, MAGIC TEMPLE raced in restricted room between KING OF HEARTS and ELEGANCE FORTUNE which shifted out slightly. In this incident, MAGIC TEMPLE bumped the hindquarters of KING OF HEARTS which became unbalanced. A veterinary inspection of GO FAY FAY after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. PERFECT FIT and MY WHISKY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the trachea of KING OF HEARTS. Before being allowed to race again, KING OF HEARTS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
