PERFECT SPRINT was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, ELEGANCE FORTUNE was steadied away from the heels of GLENEALY STAR which shifted out. From the outside barrier, ELEGANT WIN was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the 1100 Metres, PERFECT SPRINT, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied away from the heels of SUPER GOAL MASTER which shifted out slightly. Making the first turn, GREAT GUY was left racing wide and without cover and passing the 1000 Metres was allowed to stride forward into a forward position. Near the 900 Metres, TEAM WORK blundered when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BONDI LAD. Near the 150 Metres, ELEGANT WIN was steadied when momentarily crowded for room inside MAGIC SWEEP. As MAGIC SWEEP shifted out to relieve the tightening to ELEGANT WIN, MAGIC SWEEP was then steadied away from the heels of PERFECT SPRINT which shifted in slightly. BONDI LAD and TEAM WORK were sent for sampling. <4/3/2010 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that SUPERIOR UNIT was found to be lame in both its front legs this morning. Before being allowed to race again, SUPERIOR UNIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
