ENTHUSING was slow to begin. From wide barriers, UPGRADING, ALWAYS SOMETHING and PERFECT CHEERS were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT was steadied when crowded for room between AMITYSHIP and HORSE APLENTY which got its head on the side and shifted in away from FLORA DANICA despite the efforts of its rider, Z Purton. Near the 500 Metre, NOBLE DELUXE struck the heels of AMITYSHIP and blundered after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse for some distance. After this, NOBLE DELUXE continued to be awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMITYSHIP. Passing the 200 Metres, UPGRADING, which was commencing to close off the race, was steadied away from the heels of GREAT ACHIEVEMENT which was giving ground. Then passing the 150 Metres, UPGRADING was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between GREAT ACHIEVEMENT and NOBLE DELUXE which shifted out under pressure. Also passing the 150 Metres, ENTHUSING was steadied away from the heels of OTTIMO which shifted out. ENTHUSING and HORSE APLENTY were sent for sampling. <8/3/2012 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that NOBLE DELUXE was lame in the left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE DELUXE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
