GOOD FELLOW was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetance). Before being allowed to race again, GOOD FELLOW will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. From a wide barrier, NIGHTLIGN was steadied at the start and taken across behind runners. STRATHTAY was also taken across behind runners shortly after the start. GABRIAL THE KING was crowded for room at the start between ALL VICTORY and SILVER OSMANTHUS which shifted in. When being steadied in the early stages to allow other runners to cross, HAPPY CHAMPION got its head up for a considerable distance and proved difficult to settle. GABRIAL THE KING, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of HAPPY CHAMPION for some distance after the 1000 Metres. Rounding the Home Turn, BERNARD’S CHOICE got its head on the side and lay out and shortly after entering the Straight became badly unbalanced after being bumped by STRATHTAY which shifted out marginally to obtain clear running. Near the 400 Metres, MAKE A FORTUNE was shifted to the inside of MASTER RIO when disappointed for running between that horse, which shifted out, and HAPPY CHAMPION. For the majority of the race, BERNARD’S CHOICE travelled wide and without cover. D Whyte reported that GAMEKEEPERS, which was first up today since January, came to the end of its run at about the 200 Metres and tired over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of GAMEKEEPERS after the race did not show any significant findings. GAMEKEEPERS, HAPPY CHAMPION and KEEN MARIE were sent for sampling. <18/6/2012 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, GAMEKEEPERS was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. GAMEKEEPERS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Size this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GAMEKEEPERS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
