Shortly after the start, FRIENDS OF YAN OI was checked when crowded for room between NATURAL FLAME which blundered on jumping and NOVEL START which got its head on the side and shifted out. From wide barriers, BLESS US ALL and OYSTER were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Near the 500 Metres, BLESS US ALL got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NATURAL FLAME. Near the 300 Metres, DRAGON PINS was shifted to the inside of WINSOME to obtain clear running after being disappointed for running between that horse and FRIENDS OF YAN OI. A short distance later, WINSOME was steadied and shifted in after being disappointed for running between FRIENDS OF YAN OI and HINYUEN PALADIN which shifted out slightly. Near the 100 Metres, WINSOME was steadied away from the heels of NOVEL START which shifted out marginally under pressure. Throughout the race, GOOD SMILE travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of GOOD SMILE after the race did not show any significant findings. DRAGON PINS, HINYUEN PALADIN and OYSTER were sent for sampling.
