Steward Report Predict Pace Map
CHINA DELIGHT shifted out at the start and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of CHATER D’CAT. TIPPERARY DAVOR began awkwardly and shortly after the start shifted in, resulting in TOWERING STORM being crowded for room outside HORSESHOE FORTUNE which itself shifted out. After this, TOWERING STORM was ridden along, however, failed to muster speed. From the outside barrier, GLORY OF INDIA was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, HORSESHOE FORTUNE was crowded for room and TIPPERARY DAVOR was checked when tightened for room inside YOUNG HERO which, despite the efforts of its rider, got its head on the side and shifted in away from JUN HUA which was also shifting in at this time. As the Stewards were of the view that no rider error was involved in this incident, no further action was taken. Approaching the 1200 Metres, MR MARFACH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TIPPERARY DAVOR and in doing so shifted in, momentarily crowding TOWERING STORM. When placed under pressure after the 700 Metres, SUPER BRAND, which was giving ground, got its head on the side and hung out. The performance of SUPER BRAND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER BRAND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of CLEMENT SPIRIT, G Mossé stated that, from barrier 10, he rode his mount along in the early stages, however, it failed to show any speed and consequently was obliged to race towards the rear of the field. He said CLEMENT SPIRIT travelled only fairly in the run and came under pressure after the 800 Metres to hold its position. He said he rode CLEMENT SPIRIT along after this point, however, the horse did not respond to his riding and was most disappointing in the manner in which it weakened out of the race from the Home Turn. He added that tonight was CLEMENT SPIRIT’s first race start on the All Weather Track and, in his opinion, it did not appear to handle the surface at its first time of asking. A veterinary inspection of CLEMENT SPIRIT after the race did not show any significant findings. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of OUR DYNASTY, B Prebble stated that although he had to make some use of the horse in the early stages to cross from its wide barrier, he did not put this down as the reason for the horse’s performance as it was able to obtain a good run on the speed and travelled well for the majority of the race. He said OUR DYNASTY became unbalanced and got its head up when bumped by CHATER D’CAT passing the 800 Metres, however, OUR DYNASTY quickly regained balance and this did not appear to adversely affect the horse’s performance. He added that OUR DYNASTY came under pressure a short distance after this and despite being ridden along was disappointing in its failure to finish off its race. A veterinary inspection of OUR DYNASTY after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of TOWERING STORM after the race did not show any significant findings. OUR DYNASTY, BOSAMBO and YOUNG HERO were sent for sampling. <15/11/2012 Additional Veterinary Report>OUR DYNASTY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. OUR DYNASTY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Moore this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, OUR DYNASTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
