Just prior to the start being effected, JUST MISTERE became fractious and as the start was effected reared up and lost a significant amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, JUST MISTERE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. YOUNG WARRIOR, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, began awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by BULLISH BOY which shifted in. After the 800 Metres, DISCIPLES TWELVE was steadied away from the heels of MERIDIAN TREASURE. CRUISE CONTROL, which was following DISCIPLES TWELVE, commenced to over-race and shifted out abruptly away from the heels of that horse, resulting in NIGHTLIGN being taken wider. Near the 700 Metres, SHAREMA FEELING became unbalanced when momentarily crowded for room inside WALALA which got its head on the side and shifted in. Near the 500 Metres, CRUISE CONTROL was steadied away from the heels of DISCIPLES TWELVE which shifted out. After the 400 Metres, BOBO DRAGON and BULLISH BOY raced tight as BULLISH BOY shifted to the outside of HAPPY CERAMIBO into clear running. For the majority of the race, SPEED THUNDER travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that JADE CHRISTY had lost its left front plate. A veterinary inspection of SPEED THUNDER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BULLISH BOY and BOBO DRAGON were sent for sampling.
