After being loaded, CRIMSON HEART became fractious. CRIMSON HEART was then slow to begin. Before being allowed to race again, CRIMSON HEART will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. NATURAL CHAMPION began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, TRAVEL MASTER was eased away from the heels of REAL GENERAL which was taken in slightly by YAT DING WIN. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of YAT DING WIN, H W Lai stated that after beginning well YAT DING WIN was able to take up the lead without use having to be made of it in the early stages. He said however YAT DING WIN had its head on the side and was inclined to hang in, something which it had previously not done in its races. He said when ROMAN LEGEND improved to his outside passing the 400 Metres, YAT DING WIN immediately came under pressure and was then disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of YAT DING WIN immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, YAT DING WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of CRIMSON HEART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YAT DING WIN, ROMAN LEGEND and GOLDEN ADDICTION were sent for sampling.
