SOUL ACHIEVER and AMBITIOUS PINS bumped at the start. GLORY STAR and RUBY COAST bumped at the start. RUBY COAST was then crowded for room between FORMULA GALORE and GLORY STAR which shifted in. Shortly after the start, GOOD CHOICE and SUM WIN DRAGON bumped. From the outside barrier, GOLD VELVET was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, GLORY STAR raced tight between AMBITIOUS PINS and DIAMOND LEGEND which shifted in. GLORY STAR then shifted in further away from DIAMOND LEGEND, resulting in AMBITIOUS PINS and GLORY STAR racing tight. GOOD CHOICE lost its left front plate passing the winning post on the first occasion. Approaching the 1100 Metres, SOUL ACHIEVER shifted in and brushed the running rail when racing tight inside AMBITIOUS PINS which also raced tight inside GLORY STAR (Apprentice H T Mo). Apprentice Mo was advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in similar circumstances. Passing the 900 Metres, SUM WIN DRAGON commenced to travel keenly and was checked away from the heels of AMBITIOUS PINS. Passing the 800 Metres, AMBITIOUS PINS was steadied away from the heels of FORMULA GALORE. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, SUM WIN DRAGON was awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMBITIOUS PINS. Passing the 450 Metres, DIAMOND LEGEND was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUM WIN DRAGON (K Teetan) which shifted out to obtain clear running. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Throughout the race, GLORY STAR travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SOUL ACHIEVER and LETSGOFREE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. AMBITIOUS PINS, CONTRIBUTION and SUM WIN DRAGON were sent for sampling.
