RICKFIELD began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped PIKACHU. Shortly after the start, IMPERIAL GALLANTRY shifted out and bumped HELENE CHARISMA which became unbalanced and lost ground. After this, IMPERIAL GALLANTRY was shifted across behind runners. STIMULATION lost its right hind plate shortly after the start with the plate being caught up in the horse’s tail until the 100 Metres. Despite being vigorously ridden in the early stages, SERGEANT TITANIUM was slow to muster speed. When unable to obtain cover behind ROCKETEER near the 1300 Metres, HELENE CHARISMA was allowed to improve its position forward of that horse. JOLLY GENE lost its left front plate passing the 1300 Metres. RICKFIELD was unable to obtain clear running from passing the 400 Metres until near the 300 Metres. Over the final 100 Metres, when being ridden out, IMPERIAL GALLANTRY shifted out abruptly and ran towards the outside rail. The racing manners of IMPERIAL GALLANTRY were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, IMPERIAL GALLANTRY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. When giving ground in the Straight, HELENE CHARISMA hung in and proved difficult to ride. A veterinary inspection of SERGEANT TITANIUM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. ROCKETEER, PIKACHU and STIMULATION were sent for sampling.
