PLAY TO WIN and POWER RACER were crowded for room on jumping between CINQUANTE CINQ and CLEAR CHOICE which shifted out. CROWN AVENUE and ASSOCIATION FANS bumped at the start. After this, both CROWN AVENUE and ASSOCIATION FANS were steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, WINWIN RUBY was slow to muster speed and then after the 1200 Metres was left racing wide and without cover. After the 1100 Metres, CLEAR CHOICE commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of SEIZE THE SPIRIT. Passing the 900 Metres, CLEAR CHOICE was again awkwardly placed behind SEIZE THE SPIRIT. When the tempo of the race steadied after the 900 Metres, CROWN AVENUE was ridden along to improve its position to race outside the lead after the 700 Metres. Near the 550 Metres, SEIZE THE SPIRIT lost ground when crowded for room between CINQUANTE CINQ which lay in and MY WINNER which shifted out marginally when awkwardly placed close to the heels of PLAY TO WIN as that horse commenced to give ground abruptly. CLEAR CHOICE, which was following SEIZE THE SPIRIT, shifted out away from the heels of that horse in consequence and bumped ASSOCIATION FANS, taking that horse wider. After this, PLAY TO WIN came under heavy pressure and subsequently finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of PLAY TO WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of PLAY TO WIN was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PLAY TO WIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. As PLAY TO WIN continued to lose ground abruptly, SUPERIOR BOY was checked away from the heels of that horse rounding the Home Turn and shifted out, resulting in POWER RACER being crowded for room inside SEIZE THE SPIRIT. Passing the 300 Metres, UNIVERSAL GO GO was shifted in away from the heels of WINWIN RUBY to obtain clear running and then near the 200 Metres momentarily raced in restricted room inside that horse which shifted in before being corrected. Passing the 200 Metres, MY WINNER was shifted to the outside of CROWN AVENUE to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection of WINWIN RUBY immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, WINWIN RUBY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CLEAR CHOICE, CINQUANTE CINQ and ACCLAIMED LIGHT were sent for sampling.
