CHIKORITA began only fairly. HANDSOME REBEL shifted out at the start and hampered DEAL MAKER. WHO LOVES THE ACE shifted out on jumping and bumped FOURAWARRIOR. After this, FOURAWARRIOR was shifted across behind runners. When being steadied to obtain cover approaching and passing the 900 Metres, HANDSOME REBEL travelled keenly. HOLYSHOWCASING brushed the running rail passing the 700 Metres, shifted out and inconvenienced FOURAWARRIOR. DEAL MAKER, which was following HOLYSHOWCASING, also brushed the running rail passing the 700 Metres. Making the turn after the 700 Metres, SUNNY DELIGHT got its head on the side and hung out across the heels of CHIKORITA, resulting in SUNNY DELIGHT losing a significant amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, SUNNY DELIGHT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend. Passing the 600 Metres, EVERYONE’S VICTORY was awkwardly placed outside the heels of STEEL WIN which shifted out away from the heels of HANDSOME REBEL. After the 100 Metres, EVERYONE’S VICTORY shifted in under pressure and bumped STEEL WIN close to the finishing line. Approaching the 50 Metres, FOURAWARRIOR raced tight outside the heels of EIGHT TRIGRAMS. PANZERSCHRECK lay in for the majority of the race. Throughout the race, WHO LOVES THE ACE travelled wide and without cover. After the race, T Piccone stated that CHIKORITA became unbalanced in its action passing the 200 Metres and again near the 150 Metres. A veterinary inspection of CHIKORITA immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CHIKORITA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of HOLYSHOWCASING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. STEEL WIN and EVERYONE’S VICTORY were sent for sampling.
