MISSION SMART was withdrawn on 4.6.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter DRAGON BABY (Z Purton). Before being allowed to race again, MISSION SMART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
VICTORY MORE was slow to begin.
BOOMING WELL bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground.
CALL ME LU was hampered on jumping between SUPER KIN which began awkwardly and ROYAL AGILITY which shifted out. In this incident, CALL ME LU bumped the hindquarters of SUPER KIN which then shifted out and inconvenienced BRAVE POWER. After this, despite being vigorously ridden along, SUPER KIN was slow to muster speed.
From wide barriers, SICOMORO and GOLDEN FOUR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 950 Metres, SUPER KIN got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DESTIN. TAKINGUFURTHER, which was following SUPER KIN, was awkwardly placed behind that horse. WINWIN THIRTYTHREE, which was following TAKINGUFURTHER, commenced to travel keenly and approaching and passing the 900 Metres was checked away from the heels of that horse. When travelling keenly, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE improved of its own accord into very tight running inside TAKINGUFURTHER which resulted in SICOMORO being checked when crowded for room near the 850 Metres.
BOOMING WELL shifted out away from the heels of WINWIN THIRTYTHREE near the 900 Metres.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, BOOMING WELL got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of CALL ME LU. Then near the 850 Metres, BOOMING WELL got its head up when being checked away from the heels of CALL ME LU.
Passing the 800 Metres, ROYAL AGILITY was left racing wide and without cover and then after the 800 Metres was taken wider again by SUPER KIN which was taken out by GALLANT CAVALIER. Then near the 650 Metres, ROYAL AGILITY was steadied to obtain cover behind SUPER KIN after that horse was left racing wide and without cover.
ROYAL AGILITY lost its left hind plate after the 600 Metres.
At the 400 Metres, GALLANT CAVALIER was shifted out away from the heels of DRAGON BABY which was taken out by CHIU CHOW BROTHER (C Wong) which shifted out. C Wong was advised to be more alert to his mounts shifting ground in similar circumstances. Then passing the 300 Metres, DRAGON BABY raced tight outside CHIU CHOW BROTHER which shifted out before being corrected.
Rounding the Home Turn, TAKINGUFURTHER was awkwardly placed behind SUPER KIN which got its head on the side and lay out.
Approaching the 200 Metres, TAKINGUFURTHER and GALLANT CAVALIER bumped.
Near the 200 Metres, VICTORY MORE was shifted in away from the heels of CHIU CHOW BROTHER.
Passing the 50 Metres, K Teetan (ROYAL AGILITY) dropped his right rein.
A veterinary inspection of CHIU CHOW BROTHER and SUPER KIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ROYAL AGILITY and WINWIN THIRTYTHREE were sent for sampling.
