JIANGXI STAMINA, which was standing awkwardly in the barriers, jumped only fairly. On jumping, PERFECT TO GREAT was hampered when crowded between BLISSFUL STAR and KUNGFUMASTER PANDA which shifted out. Also on jumping, DARCI LEGEND was bumped heavily by RELIABLE PROFIT which shifted in abruptly. DARCI LEGEND was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Shortly after the start, UNITED ENDEAVORS bumped with JIANGXI STAMINA, resulting in UNITED ENDEAVORS becoming unbalanced. From the outside barrier, CHOICERUS was shifted across behind runners in the early stages and got its head up when being steadied to do so. Near the 700 Metres, CHOICERUS commenced to race keenly and shifted in when being steadied away from PERFECT TO GREAT. After the 700 Metres, RELIABLE PROFIT shifted out, resulting in BLISSFUL STAR being obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter. Near the 300 Metres, ROMANTIC LAOS (Z Purton) shifted out to improve when not quite clear of RELIABLE PROFIT, resulting in RELIABLE PROFIT being eased away from the heels of ROMANTIC LAOS. Z Purton was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Passing the 300 Metres, CHOICERUS bumped with JIANGXI STAMINA when improving into a narrow run to the inside of PERFECT TO GREAT. The performance of JIANGXI STAMINA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. As this was the second consecutive occasion that JIANGXI STAMINA had finished tailed out in its races, the horse will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again. A veterinary inspection of JIANGXI STAMINA immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. ROMANTIC LAOS and FEARLESS FIRE were sent for sampling.
