Shortly after the start, DR POSSI and MELLIFLUOUS were crowded for room inside WARRIOR which shifted in. After the 400 Metres, ISLAND SUPER had difficulty obtaining clear running between PROFITING CHAMPION and MELLIFLUOUS which when being ridden out commenced to hang in. After the 200 Metres, ISLAND SUPER was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of PROFITING CHAMPION which at this time shifted out. PLEZAYRE and OPERA MAGIC were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PLEZAYRE and OPERA MAGIC after the race did not show any significant findings. WARRIOR and ISLAND SUPER were sent for sampling.
