DON FELIPE was withdrawn on 9.11.07 by order of the Stewards (family bereavement). UPSIDE OF ANGER began awkwardly and lost ground. After the 1000 Metres, PRIME SCORE was left racing without cover. From the outside barrier, GO JOHNNY GO was taken across behind runners after the start, then in the early stages proved difficult to settle. On straightening, SUNNY KING was steadied and shifted out to obtain clear running. Near the 200 Metres, HORACE’S CHOICE and FEARLESS bumped. When questioned regarding the poor performance of FULL OF JOY, G Mossé said he was required to make use of the horse in the early stages to go forward into a prominent position as instructed. He said he was hopeful of obtaining a position with cover, however, near the 1400 Metres he elected to go forward and race outside the leader to avoid being caught wide. He said as a consequence of this FULL OF JOY did not close the race off. FULL OF JOY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FULL OF JOY after the race did not show any significant findings. ENTHUSED, SUNNY KING and PRIME SCORE were sent for sampling.
