As WHAT A THRILL entered the track, it became fractious, causing G Boss, its rider, to be dislodged. After cantering a short distance, WHAT A THRILL was recaptured, remounted and taken to the Start where it was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. As the start was effected, GLORIOUS FEELING sat back, then bounded in the air and as a consequence lost ground. HEART TO HEART was a little slow to begin and then was bumped by INVESTAR which shifted in. As a consequence of this, HEART TO HEART was steadied. MASTER OF SHAVERS began a little awkwardly, then from a wide barrier was taken across behind runners. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, CHIEF WITNESS raced ungenerously, got its head up and hung out. CHIEF WITNESS continued to hang out in the middle stages and making the Home Turn. On straightening, INVESTAR and SUPER CEE JAY bumped. At the 350 Metres, SURE GAIN, which was attempting to improve into a narrow run, was momentarily steadied when crowded for room inside WHAT A THRILL which when giving ground got its head on the side and hung in. Shortly after this, WHAT A THRILL, which continued to race ungenerously, was steadied away from the heels of LADY FIRST. At the 200 Metres, GLORIOUS FEELING, which was closing the race off strongly and experiencing some difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted out to continue going forward. Approaching the winning post, SUPER CEE JAY was awkwardly placed inside GLORIOUS FEELING which drifted in while hanging. Throughout the race, SUPER CEE JAY travelled wide and without cover. The performance of TIME TO WIN, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TIME TO WIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. INVESTAR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of INVESTAR after the race did not show any significant findings. BRILLIANT TREASURE and GLORIOUS FEELING were sent for sampling.
