SUPREME DRAGON was slow to begin. Near the 1500 Metres, CLOVIS got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of OSCAR PRINCE (J Victoire) which shifted in momentarily. J Victoire was advised to exercise greater care. At the 900 Metres, OSCAR PRINCE was left racing wide and without cover. At the 700 Metres, EVER KING got its head up and became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of WIN MORE. From making the Home Turn until after the 200 Metres, OCTAGONAL CANYON was held up and unable to improve. From on straightening until after the 300 Metres, ROCKET AND GOLD was held up and unable to improve. At the 350 Metres, O Doleuze (CLOVIS) dropped his whip. In the Straight, CLASSIC ENERGY (H W Lai) hung in and near the 100 Metres got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly towards CLOVIS. Because of this, H W Lai stopped riding and straightened his mount. In the run to the line, CLASSIC ENERGY continued to hang in. SUPREME DRAGON was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. OSCAR PRINCE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, SUPREME DRAGON was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUPREME DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of OSCAR PRINCE after the race did not show any significant findings. WIN MORE and ROCKET AND GOLD were sent for sampling.
