PENGLAI XIANZI and TRAVEL KING were both withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of mucopus in the horses’ tracheas). Before being allowed to race again, PENGLAI XIANZI and TRAVEL KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUPER PEPPER began awkwardly and lost ground. At the 450 Metres, ROYAL FLUSH got its head on the side and hung out. Approaching the 400 Metres, MALAYAN BRIGHT was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of JUST CHILL which when commencing to give ground shifted in. CALIFORNIA MOON and ROYAL FLUSH were sent for sampling.
