Three weeks ago (14/3), during a Happy Valley 1200m barrier trial, the horse moved out after 300m and responded well to urging. Six weeks prior, over the same distance, its performance was subpar; it jumped slowly and settled towards the back before making a move in the middle stages but failed to catch up, finishing eighth beaten two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed improvement. This time, the horse needs to carry 2 pounds more. Drawn well within the same group, it should be able to secure a good position tracking the leaders. Compared to other contenders, it possesses a clear strength advantage, with gatework showing positive signs. Despite potential weaknesses in its finishing kick and an unfavorable draw, it remains a contender to watch.
