On March 18th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections 8-8-8), the horse showed limited improvement while being ridden around the bend. Five weeks ago, in a Happy Valley mile race, performance was below expectations; a slow start saw it settle towards the back with a consistent pace but lacked a strong finishing kick, ultimately finishing seventh beaten two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial didn't fully demonstrate its potential. Back on Sha Tin turf over 1600m, this time carrying a seven-pound weight reduction, competing against similarly timed horses, it should be able to secure a good position tracking the leaders with advantageous positioning. Based on relative ability, this horse is considered the strongest contender in the race, and trainer-jockey combination appears confident – a potential winner.
