Six weeks ago, this horse ran a decent race over Sha Tin’s 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before making a mid-race move to chase the leader. A recent barrier trial showed only moderate form. Another turf trial over 1600m saw the horse receive a four-pound weight reduction, with comparable times within its group. This time, the plan is to settle back in the field, but finishing speed may not be sufficient to challenge rivals; despite drawing an inside barrier, preparation appears complete and there doesn’t seem to be a strong winning strategy.
