On March 28th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse pushed and struggling throughout. Four weeks prior, it delivered a satisfactory performance over 1400m at Sha Tin, settling well with good early positioning, accelerating in the middle stages but failing to sustain the run to the finish. A subsequent barrier trial showed no significant improvement. Now stepping back to Happy Valley for a mile, running this distance for the first time, it benefits from a three-pound weight reduction but faces a distance increase which is unfavourable, compounded by an outside draw, making its prospects difficult; even with early speed potential, this run is effectively a trial."
