CIRCUIT FIERY

On March 28th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse break slowly but showed a good response when given space in the straight. Six weeks ago, it ran disappointingly over a Happy Valley mile, leading early with a steady pace but failing to accelerate. A subsequent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. Now stepping back to a Happy Valley 1200m for its first attempt at this distance, the horse receives a one-pound weight reduction. The track and distance are not ideal, and trainer-jockey combination is unremarkable; despite potentially securing a good position tracking the leaders with a favorable barrier draw, it possesses the strongest finishing kick in its group. Jockey Alexis Badel takes the reins, aiming for better synergy between horse and rider, but this race is viewed as a trial run.
