Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed reasonably well, tracking the leader and making a move in the middle stages. He maintained a good gallop but finished fourth, beaten by one and a half lengths. This time, he carries no weight reduction; although the competition isn’t overly strong, drawing a favorable barrier gives him a chance to lead. The trainer and jockey have a decent rapport, and he received gate work, however, he has failed to place in five attempts over this distance, making his chances uncertain – a conservative approach may be best.
