Five weeks prior, in a race over the same distance, it performed poorly, tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking any impressive segments and finishing fourth, beaten by one and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial did not demonstrate improvement. This time carrying a three-pound weight reduction, despite having secured two wins at this distance previously and comparable times within its group, drawing a favorable barrier position presents a good opportunity. While the horse's ability surpasses most of the competition, its tendency to race from behind combined with an inferior finishing kick suggests it may be limited to second place.
