RISING FROM ASHES

Three weeks ago, this horse ran a decent race over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before making a mid-race move with a strong forward momentum. In a recent trial over 1200m at Happy Valley, it will carry one pound less in this race but faces competitors with faster times. The plan is to settle back in this race, however, its finishing kick may not be as strong as the rivals and the overall situation appears unfavorable despite having some past form at this distance and securing a good barrier draw.
