Two weeks ago (April 8th), in a turf trial over 1000m, the horse ran sections of 9-7-1, moving up comfortably between horses. Four weeks prior, in a race over the same distance, it performed poorly, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before finishing with fast closing sections. A subsequent barrier trial showed improvement. This time, the horse needs to carry two pounds more, faces favorable competition times, and has drawn an inside barrier. The tactics will be to settle behind and rely on a strong finishing kick – considered the best in its group. Conditions are advantageous, positioning it as a leading contender in this race.
